Her research interests include the introduction of pottery in hunter-gatherer societies and the role pottery has played in those societies. During her time as editor, Helene aimed to foster better unity among students and strengthen the connection between the student community and the academic environment. She also wanted RISS to feature more student contributions. She achieved those goals.
